Cathy holds a BS in Exercise Physiology, MPH in progress and has been involved in clinical research since 1984. She is co-founder of Apex Research Institute and has conducted over 500 clinical trials.

- ARI maintains a strong affiliation with many local private practices as well as local clinics catering to the minority, especially the Hispanic patient population
- ARI works closely with Western Medical Center, Santa Ana for in-patient trial needs and recruitment

- ARI is located within Orange County, California and conveniently situated next to the Western Medical Center, Santa Ana. Located 15 minutes from the John Wayne Airport and only minutes from the 5, 22, and 55 freeways.
- The center maintains a database of over 11,000 research volunteers. The center also has access to databases of over 40,000 patients from three private practices. We have a diverse patient population including Caucasian, African-American, Hispanic, Asian, Native American and many other nationalities.
