CORPORATE OVERVIEW

Coastal Carolina Research Center is a dedicated research facility located just outside Charleston, South Carolina. We were founded four years ago and are the proud recipients of the Charleston, South Carolina Small Business of the Year for 2000.

CCRC has established a reputation in the industry for defensible data and high, rapid enrollment. Our site conducts studies in therapeutic areas which are amenable to advertising (i.e.: hypertension, cholesterol, diabetes, migraines, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis) at our facility. For these trials we utilize a core group of physicians (internal medicine/family practice) who serve as PIs and subs. Many of these doctors have private practices and make referrals when appropriate. CCRC’s physicians are very dedicated and involved in the trials they oversee. Our facility also serves as an SMO and conducts studies at other physician’s offices (usually specialists).

CCRC FACTS

FACILITY OVERVIEW

Our new 4000 square-foot facility is located in Mt. Pleasant, SC, 10 minutes from Charleston, 15 minutes from the airport and 10 minutes from the beach.

CCRC offers six exam rooms, a spacious waiting room, and a kitchen. We provide dedicated office space for visiting monitors. Our lab is equipped with such extras as a -70 degree Celcius freezer and a refrigerated centrifuge. CCRC has an ECG machine, which can provide transtelephonic interpretations by Board Certified Cardiologists within minutes. Our facility has a large, secure climate controlled area for drug and CRF storage. (The door to this room is equipped with a combination lock).

The Charleston area is a popular destination due to its mild climate and historic charm. Charleston offers beautiful beaches, championship golf, world-class restaurants, and a wide variety of conveniently located hotels and bed-and-breakfasts.

Charleston is a magnet for seniors. The population is 63% White, 35% African American, & 2% Other. Of Charleston's total Metro Population of 525,000, there is a core of informed, experienced study patients. Charleston is the "Medical Hub" of the lower part of South Carolina due to the Medical University.
