About Alliance for Multispecialty Research

The Alliance for Multispecialty Research (AMR) is a unique network of independently owned, geographically diverse, and highly experienced Clinical Research Centers of Excellence. Chartered as a formal organization in 1994, AMR Centers of Excellence provide clinical trial services across a broad base of therapeutic areas to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, nutrition and medical device industries.

AMR is not a Site Management Organization (SMO). The Alliance's National Headquarters is financially supported by member dues rather than from additional fees levied to study sponsors or from a percentage of individual study grants. Facilitative services, including coordination of expert feasibility assessments, identification of appropriate investigators and development of standardized contracts for various clinical programs, are available to sponsors from the Alliance's central office. However, all study contracts are signed by the individual members and payments are made directly to the independent AMR center. Direct communication between individual Alliance members and study sponsors throughout the entire clinical trial period is strongly encouraged.

Alliance membership, limited by charter to 25 members, is by invitation only and is the culmination of a rigorous review and acceptance process. Stringent membership criteria parallel standards highly valued within the industry. We proudly offer the following credentials and experience:

Ability to use either local or central IRBs
Remote data entry (RDE) capabilities
